Day 6
Shikoku to Arima Onsen via Kobe
Japan motorcycle tours ninjatours Iya Valley view of mountains
The best possible start to the day is a ride up the picturesque Iya valley and onwards to Oku Iya Kazuta vine bridge which is worth a quick stop for photos. From here the road winds its way up to Mt Tsurugi. The roads are challenging but road surfaces are great and it is great fun. The view is awesome from the top.

After a quick coffee at Mt Tsurugi you begin the spectacular ride down the mountain. Take care not to run off the road while staring at the view; this is one of my favorite roads and riders will remember it well. As you wind your way down the valley, the road becomes an easy cruise to Tokushima, where you will join the expressway crossing over the Onaruto Bridge to Awaji Island.

Stop at the Awaji Rest area for a short break and some photos of the Akashi Kaikyo bridge and continue on past Kobe to your ryokan Hotel at Arima Onsen. Distance is approx 270km and it will take about 5hrs of riding.

Day 7
Arima Onsen to Shizuoka
Today's ride starts with a run along the expressway bypassing the congestion and traffic around Kyoto and Nagoya to Lake Hamana. From Hamana you will once again head for the hills and the Southern Alps.

The roads are for the most part easy cruising but narrow and very twisty in places with good road surfaces. You will climb towards the Oi river and follow it into the mountains to your ryokan hotel. The location is very quiet and peaceful; we suggest taking a walk to check out the scenery also.

Total Distance is approx 380km and it will take approx 5.5hrs.
