These tours have fun, technical riding sections, so stay focused and enjoy the intensity!

Of course, we can adjust the difficulty of the ride based on your desired level, so please let us know if you want a slightly more merciful course!
Day 1
Tokyo to Matsumoto
As you leave Tokyo in your rear view mirror your route will travel along the Chuo expressway passing by Mt.Fuji (stop for a photo) and continue onwards towards Nagano and Lake Suwa. Leaving the expressway behind at Suwa you are heading for the hills and up to Mt Kirigame. Stop for a quick coffee at Kirigame Rest area before turning onto the famous Venus Line heading towards Tabira Pass and on to Utsukushigarhara rest area which is at 2000m and offers great views, good coffee and ice cream.

Continue on along the Venus Line and turn onto the Utsukushigahara Skyline which is a fun narrow winding mountain road heading to Misuzu Lake. From Misuzu Lake, the route continues down hill towards Matsumoto. Stop for some brief sightseeing and photos at Matsumoto Castle before continuing on to your Ryokan Hotel which is about 10 minutes riding from the castle.

Day 2
Matsumoto to Arima Onsen

Todays ride starts with a relaxed cruise along the Nomugi Highway which winds its way up a scenic valley to Mt Norikura and on towards Takayama. This is a fun road with lots of twists and turns some dark narrow tunnels and scenic passes.

Stop at Takayama and take a look around the old town before hitting the road for Arima Onsen. The route includes a Highway section taking you past Lake Biwa and on to Arima Onsen a famous Hot Spring town set in the mountains above Kobe.

Total Distance is about 410km and it will take a little over 5 hrs plus sightseeing.

Day 3
Arima Onsen to Kagawa
First section of todays ride will put you onto Royu Driveway and then the Akashi Kobe Takarazuka Line which is a scenic road winding its way past Mt Rokko and then onto the Expressway towards Akashi Kaiyo bridge to Awajishima island. Stop at the rest area here for some cool photos and coffee before continuing on towards Naruto whirlpools and Tokushima.

From there you will ride up to Iya valley in the heart of the mountain range. What starts out as any easy cruise up some lower valleys along the Anabuki river winds up into some spectacular scenery around Mt Tsurugi. The road is excellent and the view on a nice day is outstanding.

From there you carry on to Oku-Iya Nijo Kazurabashi vine bridge which is an interesting place for a brief stop and on to your hotel in the beautiful Iya Valley.

Day 4
Kagawa to Dogo Onsen

A day in the mountains, the distance is not great but it will probably challenge you. (A less challenging route is also available) Leave your hotel and head up through Kyoubashira touge pass and onto the Road Station at Musasabi no Sato for a quick coffee before heading up past the Nagasawa Dam and onto Ishizuchi Skyline to Omogo Gorge. It’s a Spectacular road. From there on the course winds onwards to your hotel in Dogo Onsen, famous Hot Spring Resort set in the mountains of Ehime. Total Distance today is about 240km its quite far enough and will take about 5hrs.

Day 5
Dogo Onsen to Ashizukuri Onsen
Start today with an easy cruise along the Tobe valley and Oda river towards Yawatahama where you will follow a beach line course heading towards Karihama. Twisty windy road with some interesting scenery. Leaving the coast line continue up hill past Sotomatsuo Park, famous for its Cherry Blossoms and on towards the Shimanto River and China Bridge. After following the river for a period the road will divert back towards the coast and onto the Ashizuri Skyline before arriving at your hotel at Ashizuri Masaki. Time Permitting take a look at Cape Ashizuri and the beautiful Kongofukuji Temple. Total Distance is about 310km and it will take about 5.5hrs riding time.

Day 6
Ashizukuri to Kochi

As you leave your hotel this morning you will drive past Cape Ashizuri and Kongofukuji Temple, stop for a quick look if you missed it yesterday and then continue along the Coast road and Sunny Road to Shimanto River. From here you will head into the mountains and it is twisty winding roads as you follow the Kitagawa River up to Tsuga Dam and onto Yoshihara town. Continue onward and upwards to Shikoku Karst and Tenyu Highlands where you can take a coffee break and some photos. From Tenyu Highlands the course continues down hill on some very twisty roads (easier option available) before joining some easy cruising roads heading for the Yokonami Kushio Line a pretty ride along the coast line heading for your hotel in Kochi. You will sleep well tonight !!
Total Distance today is approx 290km and it will take about 5.5-6hrs riding time.

Day 7
Kochi to Wakayama
Todays ride is somewhat more relaxed, it includes an easy cruise along the coast line before heading into the mountains for a period before heading back for a scenic coastal ride to Tokushima port. (A more intense version of the route is available for those wanting more of a challenge) At Tokushima you will board the Ferry to Wakayama. The Ferry ride takes 2hrs and ten minutes. Ferries leave about every 2.5hrs. Your beachside Hotel is a short ride from the Ferry . Total distance is Approx 260km and it will take about 6.5 hours including the Ferry ride.

Day 8
Wakayama to Nabari

After leaving Wakayama you will take a brief run along the coastline before heading inland towards Ryujin onsen. Ride the Ryujin Skyline which is a great mountain cruising road and continue on to Mt Gomadan, the Gomasan Sky Tower and Mt Koya. Koya is a famous temple area and has beautiful parks and places to relax. Stop for a quick break here.

The ride down from Mt. Koya is a fun ride you will enjoy. Continue along country roads to Yoshino, famous for its cherry blossoms in season, and onward to Lake Shorenji. Ride along the river through Kochi Dani valley and Shorenji shoreline to your lakeside hotel.

Total distance is approx 270km and it will take a little over 5 hours riding time.

Day 9
Nabari to Shizuoka
After leaving your hotel today, cruise along country roads and tea plantations before heading up to the Aoyama Plateau. You will enjoy some very twisty sections past wind farms and see interesting scenery to Sakakibara onsen.

Take a quick run along the expressway to Ise Jingu which is worth a brief stop over, then continue to the Ise-Shima Skyline and the Toba Ferry terminal. The ferry trip takes about one hour and is a good time to relax. Leave Irako Ferry terminal and continue on to your hotel in Shizuoka.

An Intense option is available today if you are looking for a more challenging ride. Distance is approx. 370km and it will take about 5.5-6hrs riding time.

Day 10
Shizuoka to Tokyo

As you leave from your mountain hotel, the road will continue to climb and wind its way up to Ikawa Lake. Continue down and along the Abe river and on to a short expressway ride before exiting again and heading for the Mt. Fuji Evergreen Line. It runs along the lower slopes of Mt Fuji, and is quite scenic. Stop for some photos of Mt Fuji before continuing on to Lake Yamanaka and Lake Sagami.

Join the Expressway for a final ride into Tokyo. Total distance is about 270km and it will take approx. 4.5-5hrs riding time.
